Midwifery is one of the oldest activities, practiced initially by experienced and elderly women providing services to pregnant women who were about to give birth. Nowadays, this activity has become a medical profession in most countries, requiring a university education of 4 to 5 years. Midwives now take care of women's health from adolescence to post-menopause, in a comprehensive approach. Emphasis is placed on supporting women at different stages of their lives, with priority given to the physiological dimension.

TORUNN

Torunn has always been interested in women&;s health and wellness, which naturally led her to become a midwife. After being trained as a midwife in Denmark, she has been practicing in several countries for more than 20 years. Throughout her personal practice, she has had the chance to work in different structures, private birth clinics, public hospitals, and as a private practitioner. She believes that every woman has the strength to carry a child and the instinct to become a mother. She believes in giving back confidence to women, so that they can trust in their capacities of childbearing, giving birth and breastfeeding, nothing in this world is more natural. She
believes on the capacity of our body to self-healing if we know how to listen to it.
